ROM Hack Private headers and trimming on Mac?

The tutorials I'm seeing for generating private headers and trimming 4gb ROMS both seem to call for Windows software.
What are my options for doing either or both of these things on OSX?

Wine or Crossover? I think Gateway ROM Patcher is the only tool that can import/dump private headers. There are multiple tools for trimming though, you should be able to compile one of them for Mac.

Someone posted this collection of mac command-line tools in its own thread somewhere, but I sure as shit can't be bothered to go look for it, so credit to whoever they are, and of course to the tools' authors. This contains rom_tool which does the trimming. I'm not aware of any mac tools for modifying headers, I just used to do it manually with a hex editor (0xed is nice).

I managed to trim ROMs using 3DSExplorer running in Wine.
Nabbing 0xED now!
