Hardware Price

For fuck sake...

How exactly is it fair that we UK gamers are getting so badly shafted? I can afford this with little real fuss, provided I don't lose my job of course, but it's the principle of the thing. I know it's advanced tech but £230 for a handheld? GTFO. What a rip-off. You can buy a PS3 for that. And a slim model with a decent hard drive and a game at that. Frankly anything above £199.99 is abuse of the ability to set your own price. You should be ashamed of yourselves, Game. If it wasn;t for the fact that my local store is staffed almost exclusively by cute blondes and they give me staff discount on stuff all the time, I'd be really angry right now.

Same for us from "Mainland"...what the heck is wrong with Nintendo?
Its not like that we earn 50% more money than US Americans.

Well, you can blame Sony for starting the whole $1 = £1 = 1€ trend.

Consider them blamed. Fuck you, Sony, and all you stand for.

Except my new Duodecim demo.

But everything else is FILTH.

Seriously though, the price is a fucking joke for a handheld. Especially since we're not even told the launch lineup either. At least now we know why they said 'consult your retailer' at the press conference. This way GAME look like the cunts instead of Nintendo.

Lol that's why the 3DS is region locked, you can't buy the cheaper US 3DS xD
250 $ = 185,3 euros 0_o

I'm sure Nintendo knew they would lose a lot of potential customers if price was $300 at launch. $250 seems like a fair deal and considering you get a charge cradle and a 2GB card (which don't cost that much anyway) so it's like you get the 3DS itself for $220-230.

So they did come up with something on their own

OH SNAP!

Well sucks for Europe.

I am not getting one for a while. Hopefully the next psp will be cheaper but knowing Sony I doubt it.

I CAN pay that much for it, but I'm struggling to think up a valid reason why I SHOULD. What's your problem, UK retailers? You want us out of this recession, yes? So we have to buy things in order to get the economy going again, yes? SO STOP RIPPING US OFF.

Christ, it's no wonder we're up shit creek without a paddle here.

At £229.99, you'd better pray I get served by one of the cute girls at my local. And I had better get a happy ending, if you know what I mean.

The uk price is ridiculous. I'm going to enjoy every moment of pirating nintendos games if the system ever gets cracked. Money grabbing twats.
This. It's the retailers fault for being such greedy little shits. They are making a £70-£80 profit and that's just over U.S Dollars, if hardware and shipping costs only £100 then they are making a £120-£130 profit which is actual bullshit.

The price isn't even my main concern right now. I can afford it with no hassle. And if hassle does occur I have things to trade in to make up the money. What bothers me is the distinct lack of a release schedule. I want to know if it'll be worth getting day one. If it doesn't have at least one of my top ten choices then it's in no way worth the money. Could we perhaps get a little hint as to what we can expect, Nintendo? Or are you too busy yakking on about StreetPass or whatever gimmicky shit you've got going for you now?
