Hacking PRELOADER v.25 Released

i havent installed a dol yet you say gamma (as a installed dol ) dosent work with this

I cant get anything to work as dol. It just goes to a black screen, but if I run it from the preloader menu, it works fine.

Yea none of my .dol are working either. I also tried adding some hacks that were previously posted on this thread and it bugged up my system menu (3.2u) My cursor wouldnt show up on screen but the wii mote was on and the cursor would appear in HBC After removing the hacks it was fixed(hacks.ini) Preloading HBC works, preloading system menu works. Great app

ALSO:
HBC (Beta 8) gave me a black screen as well when i tried to "preload" it.
After updating it to the latest version, i no longer got a black screen, this info may be usefull?

Anyone tried booting the linux loader dol? I'd be happy if that worked. I know everyone is saying dols aren't working but I had to ask

Guys, there is a problem with running dol files from SD right now. It is a bug. Crediar has been informed and is looking into it.

Be patient and hopefully fix will come soon, then the floodgates open.

im gona pm iron with where we started talking bout this maybe he can shed some light from Crediar for us

personaly i just tryed and got stuck at entry point (after i stared dol install) other then that this works great loads hbc and sys menu and i was thinking of maybe asking if in the next release we could get a button on the wii not insted of hiting rest (not a comlplaint)

Yeah, hitting reset is kinda annoying, but I think that the wiimote isnt synced with the system until it is on so that might not work. Hmm too bad I gotta sleep, Oh, well I guess I'll check back tomorrow and see whats up with the DOL's

are you crazy, the reset button is perfect for this purpose. Until now it served no real purpose at all.

There's no source available from preloader. So I don't think it can be done, yet.
Just wait patiently. And see, what secrets can be revealed.

but for now i saw a few pages back some one asked if they should keep starfall installed i havent read anything that says this replaces it and the preloader dosent have recovery (hold y on gc controler) and starfall dose so thats thier call hope that helped

Very convenient for people who fukced teirs up.
Heck even testing various apps on different menus is possible this way.

Well, it is of course possible, but having this would force your Wii to a hold and wait for sync of at least one Wiimote (which is reaaaaally slow) before autobooting. That would add more extra seconds to the boot process than most want.

Chage IOS version of What. We've already changed the System Menu IOS and played around with that. That's what led to CIOSCORP.

Very interesting FRantic.. I hadn't thought about that, a copy of System Menu on Nand and on SD. Might as well make and AutoBootSystemMenu disc too.

If it were possible, you could patch anything you would possibly like on the system menu AND test it, without the risk of bricking the wii. Very handy indeed for testing and evolving the region free issues on the CIOSCORP thingy.
