Hacking Preloader 4.0 Hacks list.

then i tried the Region Free from wiibrew and it worked but when i launched the game (Naruto Geikitou Ninja Taisen 3) i got 001 error

So i am on 4.0(E) and would like install Preloader.

I just create a new ini file and copy past your hacks? Will this work?

Ah before i forgot:
IOS Reload will make the game play with IOS249 right?
So i just need IOS60BF.wad installed, IOS249 and this hack and all Games will play through the disc channel?

My fault. Sry.

Should be all fine, that is how I have it set up. But there are 2 issues.

1. Some games have errors (001 etc) that didn't occur on 3.2 (like mario kart).
I managed to fix this by modifying IOSreload to IOS60 instead of 249.

I don't know if it affects everyone, but if you're having problems, feel free to try it.

Also I don't know if any games have trouble running off IOS60BF as opposed to 249, but I haven't had any issues yet.

2. Region Free hack isn't working for me either, so only PAL games working.

CIOS60BF uses the app.1 from CIOS36 rev7 which doesn't have any problems with Mario Kart but probably has problems with the newer games. Your IOS249 is probably CIOS36 rev8 (or 9). rev8 was having problems with Mario Kart and some other games and thats why the CIOSCORP package of MiiWii is not fully rev8 dipped. Some IOSes uses the rev7 version for Mario Kart and other games to work. If you have CIOS36 rev8 installed you could try rev9, maybe it fixed the problem for Mario Kart?

Will we ever see an NTSC version? I am really excited to tryout IOSReload but cannot find an NTSC version. If anyone has found a NTSC version of IOSReload please post it.

gilaben, you don't need it, in preloader .29 its part of the default package.
Its not in the hacks menu, its in the main config.

Since the consensus seems to be that ^^ isn't working, is there any danger in leaving a hack that was found to be ineffective enabled? Is it as simple as disabling them on the Preloader SystemHacks menu, removing it from the hacks.ini file, and replacing it with a hack that works, or (since there is no uninstall method as far as I know) is it best to reinstall the system menu and then start again? Any advice would be appreciated, as, although familiar with StarFall, I'm new to PreLoader.

No Blackscreen issues because, well basically PAL is a better Format

PAL is a better console/TV format and its a fact dude...

PAL is so much better with its lower framerate.

No. The built-in setting new to preloader .29 ONLY loads the system menu with IOS249, so that the system will read backups. IOS Reload hack directs all IOS calls to 249, so the backups actually play.

Basically, the system menu setting eliminates the need to install dip patched IOS 30 or 60, and IOS reload eliminates the need for cioscorp or backup loader.

I have v 4.0 with homebrew channel but I can´t install preloader 0.29 because lost cIOS when upgrade at 4.0 (lost trucha bug)
