I noticed that the Powersaves device does detect the game, whereas it does not detect Animal Crossing and Pokemon X; is that a sign that Zelda does not use NAND save since the others I heard do use NAND based saving?

I saw on some websites the result of rominfo saying it's a card 1 so it doesn't use NAND save
It won't run on gateway because of the sdk 5. Let's hope gateway 2.0 will be out soon

Ok, just thought I should mention it. I was able to backup my save with the device, but have not tried restoration.

Update: Restore worked :)
Was at beginning of game so I thought it wouldn't hurt to erase and restore using Powersave device.

Lol I totally think of him as Powersaves guy too :P

Really?! May I trouble you for a source?

Hmm I don't have sources, I think I just read that on the forum at some point, also if those guys at R4i can launch it and not pokemon I guess it's probably not using NAND saving.

no, Etrian Odyssey has a 1MB save.

correction the zelda:lbw has a 1Mb save (128KB).

----

WTH? I had understood it was impossible to have more than 512kb of storage using EEPROM memories (for the specific case of 3DS cartridges).
who said that. I have several EEPROM storage modules that are 1GB in size that I got from on a vendor at a trade show.

Here is one of my etian odyssey iv saves: here
It is 1MB in size. I flashed it back to the cart before.

Here is one of my Zelda:lbw saves: here
There isn't much since I only spent 5 minutes on it before dumping the save.

I even said "in the specific case of 3DS game cartridges" -.-'

About why I thought that: WTH: SLC NAND, NAND Saving, AP?

CARD1 - Which either uses no savedata, or an external EEPROM to store savedata. EEPROM sizes come in 128KB and 512KB. CCI data is written to a RO chip.

It is an rpg, more likely to be the backup data.

It shows up as a 8Mbit epprom.
