So I go through a whole fucking hurricane with nothing but a few small puddles in my basement and some one second power flickers. Of course, the next day, when it's a sunny, breezy day, the power goes out at 12pm.

It just came back. 29 hours without electricity.

Yeah, fuck you too Mother Nature.

Now if you excuse me, I'm going to take a bath in batteries or something to appreciate how much I love electricity.

Lol. Once, I went 4 days without electricity.
I went around that time as well. There was a frost storm once and it took out all the electricity. We had to use candles for lighting and a portable furnace to keep warm.

Longest I've gone without electricity was a week. A massive freezing rain storm knocked out the power and froze the power lines solid. I also had no heat so I was wearing 2 sweaters, a coat and a blanket to keep warm.

I go crazy after two hours. I usually find some way to get electricity, be it a huge pack of AA batteries or a home-made generator.

Reminds me of when my computer was getting repaired.

Didn't have it for a week. Made me realize how much television sucks.

No electricity is pretty much torture, though.

Any longer than an hour and i start getting annoyed, in the past i've ended up hacking together a battery pack so I could get internet access

The phone line still worked, laptops had plenty of battery life, but had no power for the router - so some battery power for that and i was sorted
