Hacking Power Off to Standby from System Menu

Ever since installing Softmii and Preloader I have not been able to power off to standby mode.

I have wiiconnect24 enabled and it was working before but when I use the wiimote to shut off from the system menu it goes to the red full off mode.

I can only seem to get it power off to standby if I do it while in a game or if I have the HBC running.

This doesn't help since I'm not the one the uses it most and I have those that do trained to not leave disc's in the unit.

Its a Preloder problem. I'm guessing you're using 0.27 since standby works while in games on 0.27. Just wait for an update, hopefully it will be pretty soon.

Who uses standby anyway? It drains off power and overheats GPUs.

For charging your Wiimotes or somewhat, just let the wii turn on, and have the tv turned off. It's the same as Standby, but with the fans spinning, so "overheat GPU problem" over.
