Hardware Power button issue

Hi, I have a big problem with my personnal switch. I mod this switch about a year ago with a trinket, everything where fine. One day I start do have problem with the power button, have to push it hard or try a lot of time to make it work. I have order the part, so today I decided to change it. The job is done but I got the same problem it's not working so I check is the button is doing is job with my multimeter in continuity mod it`s do what it's need to do beeep hihi. So I check with the battery plug on the switch, I short with my multimeter the contact and the switch goes on. I don't really know what to do, my kid want is switch because we are suck inside, please help me thank you !

By the way I have remove the trinket in case off and the problem is still on !

Try to wire it back in? I had the same problem and that fixed it.

I have even change the cable again and it’s rhe same issue.
