I just came across this:

Quote:
Wiicrypt:
Run Stuff and new apps in WII MODE
DVD playback with no additional software
Option to remove dupe wii channels
Application included to totally change the channels menu layout, colour etc (real themes)
App to link wii via usb and gamecube memcard slot to send homebrew code direct to the wii (additional hardware needed)
No audio fix needed
Option to bypass required firmware updates and run CERTAIN games in detection mode (ignores features in games that need firmware update and still excute, may lead to odd graphic corruption or wrong music being played ingame)
Streamer wii (concept app which will require additional hardware, allows video and much more to be streamed wirelessly back and forth to the wii, includes function to read game in wii and transfer wirelessly to a ready to burn iso file on your pc)

The chip is released to Testers today.
This chip should have 15 wires to be soldered to your Wii.
Some sites claim that this Chip is legit, lets wait for some more infos.

I think the recent Wii homebrew hax have opened the flood gates.

Well... at first, I was waiting for a Wii modchip, then it came. But when I finally got got my Wii console, I heard about the Wlip solderless adapter, so I decided to wait for it. Then the Wiicrypt and the new Cyclo are "unoficially announced", so I am tempted to wait for these. Guess I will never mod my Wii if better things are continually announced!

Hey don't quote me on that

The supposed "new product" could be DS or Wii or another console entirely...
*Hoping for the Virtual Boy or the Atari Jaguar*

Yeah, another DS product is a possibility... but honestly, what is there left to add to what the CycloDS card have to offer? I think the current DS flashcards are pretty much "perfect"... but they could still add a killer functunality that didn't tought of...

Sounds a bit suspect to me. According to this site there are only 1000 going to be put into production

I bet they will take 1000 orders, then run away.

Hopefully I'll be proved wrong though

Pretty awesome news.

It would be cool if someone could write code for a DVD with these types of options on it that you could boot up with an already installed chip and change your prefs/delete channels/install custom firmware.

this sounds like a wiidumper... right?

But something that would be cool: send over LAN in real-time the audio/video output so you can screen capture ur games wirelessly or use a comp screen instead of a TV (Despite this being quite impossible, unless you have a dedicated coprocessor soldered into your wii [retarded idea in a stupid idea])

[and because i never said this before:]
So, does it work on PAL?
