In short--
Pre-Xi build, there was a way with Wan's(?) cMIOS and GCOS to boot games that have streaming audio without them erroring or crashing.

So far we know:
It looks like it might be Wan's cMIOS because of the flash before the game boots.
It's an older form of GCOS because it doesn't show DVD9.
It could be something entirely new.
------------

Using Xi, I can start a FSTFIX patched Ikaruga but once in the select a difficulty after starting game, it resets back to the main menu.
If anyone wants to see this, I can show them.

I don't want to hear "xi alrede fex'd da audiogaems u nub olol"
Maybe the combination of this proposed fix and Xi might allow Ikaruga and the others to work.

Any ideas/speculation?

So you're trying to boot an already fixed by FSTFIX.exe .iso...?? and still nothing..??

I think that its fake and he has most probably got a modchip installed.
The first time he tries the game he uses the Wii Backup Launcher which will give an error when running games that need the audiofix, and the second time he tries it, hes using a standard GC GCOS disguises as the Wii Backup Launcher.
