Homebrew Possible AP?

I'm testing some of the DS games that I own on nds-bootstrap, and I noticed that the Word Whomp minigame of Pogo Island doesn't seem to work correctly.

In the minigame, it says that any word can't be found in the dictionary, or it does work, but the letters never change. Either way, you can't complete the minigame.

Everything else seems to work fine though, and the minigame works on the real card.

Considering what's happening, maybe this game has AP? I don't run very many games on nds-bootstrap/TWLMenu++, so I've never messed with it much.

If it is AP, then you are the first to find it. I remember playing it a lot and never having problems. Maybe it is a bad dump. Calculate a CRC32 of the file and Google it for a match.

I tried it with the EU Version (TID:AO3P) and US Version (TID:AO3E) on DSi XL with TWiLight v11.1.0 and nds-bootstrap v0.28.0
On both Versions the Word Whomp Game works:



Maybe really a "bad" Rom.

Thanks, I dumped it using Wooddumper on DSi. I'll try the CRC32 and post my results later.

I got the CRC32 "EAE99EC4" and it appears to be correct.

Maybe it's my settings? I'll try setting them to what a DS would use.

Okay, so I tried again with DS settings, then default settings again. The game worked fine both times... Not sure what was happening or what I did to cause the issue last night.
