What do you think, could psgroove be ported to sharp zaurus?

http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Sharp_Zaurus

I've got one SL 5600 (poodle) lying around...

Also where can I get some porting hints? Sharp Zaurus (at least I know both 5500 and 5600 model) have an usb port working in slave mode and operates on linux...

Probably the best info you can get is here

Also pulling from the existing repository would be a good place to look as well

You have to know some pretty low level details of the USB device hardware so that'll be something you'd need to ask the Zaurus community about. It looks like the openbsd port has a lot of information about how to access the low level details you'd need.

Otherwise try whatever linux variant you prefer. Good luck and don't let the TI people have all the fun!

I'll pass this task to someone more experienced with cross compiling on linux for another linux system. Maybe someone from Japan where Zaurii was pretty popular could help.

Still, thanks for the nice hints!
