I wanted to play some Metal Gear Solid on my PSP, so I threw both discs on it.
When I went to boot disc 1, I got a black screen after the PS logo. So I tried to boot it again, holding R to bring up the popsloader list.

No list came up, and I just get the black screen again.

I've checked to make sure the plugin is enabled, and to see if it works with other PSX eboots.
Popsloader is enabled, but no longer works with any PSX eboots on my PSP, though it was working when I was playing Spyro2 a few weeks back.

An article I read about Pops, says that fake memory cards will cause Popsloader to stop working. ..but I have a SanDisk M2 4GB.

I might just back up all my saves and whatnot, and format my memory stick to see if that'll fix the problem..

have you deleted your popsloader folder from seplugins!?

It's probably due to access speeds to your memory stick. Since you're not using a pro duo, but a Micro card and an adapter the speed is going to be reduced and some plugins dislike this...which is why Lexar sticks often screw up plugins. I'd suggest you format your memory stick, reload it and try again. Also ensure that popsloader is the first plugin in your pops.txt file

Have you changed the memory stick to a different memory stick?
Have you changed anything in the plug-ins folder?

Just think of anything that could have changed from the time it was working until now.
You may want to reformat the memory stick like you said.

Also, sometimes some prx's disable other prx's from working. Try disabling every prx that is not necessary for the PSP to function correctly and enable the popsloader.prx
