Q: Why was Fez's creator named Phil Fish?
A: Because he took all the bait.

Unfortunately for fans of his work, this meant that he (apparently) decided to cancel Fez 2 in a fit of rage and leave the games industry altogether.

Naturally, things have been sorta quiet on the Fez front since then, so even a teasing Vine video is like a big story. Which brings us to...

    :arrow:The Escapist

Don't listen to The Escapist; they have Moviebob. Come on, let the Fez-tivities begin.

Now, the team handling the PS Network port of Fez is Blit Software. You might know them from their port of Sonic CD for Steam, PSN, and XBLA. They're currently working on a PSN port of Spelunky, so Fez will probably have to wait a little while longer.

And hey, Vita owners, you know what they say: "Mo' games, mo' justification for your purchase." At least, I think they say that. Don't quote me on that.

Everyone else quit PS Vita, yet Phil Fish didn't?

Phil is back at home growing a stupid beard and not getting a hair cut and too busy wanking over a fez.

Nah he just quit developing Fez 2 because he's the most massive pussy in the industry.

But he still has some bit of respect from me for calling the Japanese game industry rightfully shit.

Anyway I can dig Fez on the Vita, it can't hurt.

Phil Fish is a moron, why is he letting it be ported over to Vita and not 3DS. maybe if he allowed port to 3DS he will be able to afford a hair cut.

I played both Fez & Journey last year, Fez was my Goty, Journey wasn't in the top 3...

It was a reasonably solid platformer with nice aesthetics and mechanics that stayed reasonably fresh for most of the game (if nothing else it bears little resemblance to physics or concepts most people keep in their head most of the time). Similarly the hidden items and bonus features may well have appealed to the faux intellectual in various people.

I can see why it did not take the world over but I can not say it was not a well considered/made game which in and of itself is something of note.

Because A. the 3DS probably can't run it without some serious optimization/cutting of stuff
    B. 3D in Fez wouldn't make much sense to begin with as the entire game is about a 2D viewpoint on a 3D world
    C. The resolution is too small, which means everything would have to be downscaled and Phil Fish hates scaling. (hence why resolutions other than 720p and 1080p on the PC just get black borders, unless they happen to be a multiple of 720/1080 like 1440)

Did it occur to people that they didn't port it to the 3DS because, y'know, they just decided not to?

Sorry that your prized system isn't everyone's prized system.

I got Fez already during the Steam sale but if he's porting it to the Vita, I might as well just get it there.
