This is going to be super useless thread, but I am interested in something. Now, when there is a possibility for boot9strap even when you does not have CFW already, what would you do?
Because I don't know if I should wait or do hardmod.

If you're confident in your soldering skill or if you could get someone to do it for you, then go for hardmod. Otherwise, just do DSiware method. I dunno if we'll ever get a soundhax-like hack for 11.4. In the end, it's your decision. Just stick with what you have decided upon and commit to it.

Unless you have advanced solder skills, you should really wait.

MrNbaYoh just announced that he already has a new free primary entrypoint and he will release it once Sighax can be installed with HBL on 11.4, which would make things easier for (new) users

An userland exploit isn't enough for installing sighax, an arm9 exploit would also be required (and they, in turn, generally require an arm11 exploit to work)

Actually, it should work. arm9 asks for the DS Cartridge data, I think, so just returning Boot9 instead of normal DS Code could give us an entry, right?
That can be done with an standard DS flashcart, or we'll need an specific one? Im sure it will need to be signed, or something like that.

There are suspicions, that the Acekard 2i is probably gonna work, I read that it's architecture allows it because it's reflashable. But we don't have real or proven information about that, Sighax' release is just 1 day old, we have to wait :)

I did a hardmod on my New 3DS XL at the beginning of last year, but if you don't already have custom firmware, just wait - a new primary exploit is on the way soon.
