Hacking Poll: spoofer or wait for emunand

How many people have already used the spoofer and how many will wait for emunand. Post your thoughts on it.

The permanent nature of the patch put me off, so it's not that I'm waiting for emunand but that I just don't want to do anything irreversible.

I have exactly the same situation. I want to play mario maker but I wait. It's still sealed.

Emunand,because the spoof is permanent and if we have to update for more compability of the exploit,we will not be hable to update (the spoof will say to the console that it is at the latest FW).

I wish the spoofer was released back in August since I was on 5.3.2 back then, but I really wanted to play Splatoon online, so I'm on 5.5 now. Yay...

honestly seeing as nobody has even said they are working on emunand i would/have just used the spoofer, seeing as by the time we have emunand capabilities it will most likely mean we have iosu access....which means at that point we could almost certainly just downgrade the version.bin file back to 5.3.2 if your scared of having the wrong version number in system settings .....if your going to wait for emunand you might as well just use the spoofer as there is still no guarantee emunand will ever happen

There's a tradeoff using the current hack, If you invested in games you might loose online play etc.
Also it's not very user friendly.
Miiverse has evolved to something very special imho. I really wish there was something like achievements. the gamepad serves as a far better equivalent of MS smartglass.
I updated to the latest FW as homebrew is'nt nearly there yet compared to the Wii scene.
Backup loading I have no interest in, except maybe in the future for convenience purposes.
All in all there aren't that many games to begin with, and the eshop is to good to give up for these titles.

In all honesty , I purchased many games when the WiiU was thought to be flopped.
So they were cheap. 1st party titles are golden as always by nintendo standards.
I am only missing the recent games, Yoshi's yarn, Splatoon, Mariomaker...
I am looking forward to Starfox, Zelda, Xenoblade, and maybe Project Zero.
That's Another 350-ish euros.....to get these WiiU exclusive titles.....
Hmm maybe I have been supporting Ninty enough by now?
If Nintendo keeps up the tradition of releasing a new console every 6 years, the Wii U is in autumn/fall.

I think it's time Nintendo offered a similar service having the option to install your games on your
external HDD. ( somewhat like Xbox 360 )
I would be happy with both methods, Spoofer for latest FW and Emunand.

Just use the spoofer. You can update if you really want apparently, and you'll still be on 5.3.2 for the emunand if/when it comes if you don't update anyway. Whats the issue? Seems pretty clear and cut to me.

So you can still update to the real 5.5 if you have installed the spoofer?

The spoof actually *CAN* be reversed, it's just that there is no reason to do so.
You can't downgrade titles but you can delete them and reinstall just like game updates.
The problem with that is that it's risky so it's just not worth it to code that.
