I hope no one has Posted it but as you may recall there was a game breaking bug in X/Y if you saved outside in Lumios city it'll corrupt your save forcing you to erase your game and start over but a patch was released by nintendo upgrading the game to v 1.1 this patch works on both digital and physical media
this is how it's done if you have Pokemon X/Y as a game you play go onto Eshop and then once logged on a dialouge box will pop up saying that there's an update for a game click the update button you'll be sent to a download page saying Pokemon (X or Y) v 1.1 it is a mere 255 blocks (if I recall) and will be downloaded as extra data on your SD card and will apply the patch everytime you play
