ROM Hack Pokemon Sprites Help?

I use PokedsPic on heargolds pokegra.narc file and i replace lugia sprites with this (made with gimp using lugia pallet)

and

yet when i try any way any program (even paint.net) i get this

any help? if so how did you do it?

Problem Fixed, have a look (all i need to do now is center the sprite and yes i changed to pearl for this)

What would be even cooler is to make the sprites animated in HG/SS
