Not really. You obviously missed the point of why they even remade the games in the first place. It's so you can obtain pokemon from previous generations without needing a Game Boy. Now that the DS Lite has been discontinued, it makes perfect sense for them to remake R/S/E as GBA support is dying out.
Only in America I think (it's only $99.99!!!)

Cuz my gameshop still can get stocks from Korea/Japan.

It's most likely backstock, they made TONS of those things

Huh? I thought "formally" speaking, Nintendo has yet to confirm even the oft-forgotten original GBA as discontinued?
Do you really think they still make GBAs? Well no, they definitely do not.

You know, now that you mention it, a R/S remake really seems possible.

Not only that, they'll also incorporate emerald features (if one is really made).

Now Grey version... Animated character sprites, different costumes and also a battle frontier.

All might be possible on the new R/S if one is really made.

I remain highly unconvinced. Gen 1 and 2 were remade because 3+ broke compatibility, effectively sealing RBY and GSC away from the rest of the games. A couple of musical cameos aren't enough to convince me and I've noticed them myself.

This does not rule out the possibility of Nintendo eventually doing it, but I don't think these can be considered "signs" of it happening.

And the third point,
RSE don't look THAT dated.
They are still very enjoyable in GBA format (replayed Emerald a few days ago, fun as ever)
Go try playing Emerald, it's not crap at all.
Implying Red/Green and Gold/Silver were crap.

Seriously, though. Red/Green were 8 years old when FR/LG were made.
Gold/Silver were 10 years old when HG/SS were made.
Ruby/Sapphire are 7 years old now. See the connection?

And yet another thought comes to mind. HGSS could elaborate and build on the lacking story of GS, while Emerald is finished. Note also, Emerald is the complete game, Ruby and Sapphire were just the half told story, without the epic battle and all. Why the heck would anyone remake the two instead of the full one?
Remember HeartGold/SoulSilver?
It was Crystal splitted into two to make HeartGold/SoulSilver.

Have you even played Crystal before?

With R/S/E, this is not the case. Not even half as many would be sold as HGSS regardless of how it would be done.
It's Pokémon.
'nuff said.

Having "Main Series Pokémon Game" and "Low sales" in the same sentence is an oxymoron.

i'd love to see that idea... and marjan and maybe in the final you would fight the Older Hero, like you Fight Red on MT.Silver?

wow it could be great xD

And we could have Hoenn, More info on the Regis and a special appearence of the Regigigas? Use of the Space Ship to get Jirachi?

Just curious, never really know if the space ship rumor was true or not, but can anyone confirm this?

If you want to take a space ship up to the space, you must have a raquaza, then you have to complete the pokedex...

Then go to the top of the space Center and wait for 12hours(real) for team magma to come and drive the space ship to the sky... There you can see a lot of lunatones and solrock, if you are lucky, you can see a deoxys.

Yup, I know this is red/blue version. However, FireRed/LeafGreen are already remakes of the original red/blue. In addition, Kanto is also accessible in Gold/Silver. Hence this might also lead to a clue of the Gold/Silver remake.
That makes no sense. The music relates to generation one, while the remake was of generation two.

The way GameFreak has been going, they almost have to release a new Ruby and Sapphire game. No real proof needs to be given.

People still believe this crap?

Because they did something twice, doesn't mean it's a set pattern, and even if they brought out remakes after new gen for the 10th time, doesnt mean they have to stick to it.

Not really. The only unobtainable pokes were the past legends and starters, which could have easily been shoved into some stupid spin-off game. Making past pokes obtainable was not the reason for HGSS at all, unlike FRLG where it was one of the main reasons.

Yes and of course.

I mean, Crystal didn't add anything that would affect the story of GS, because there was no story. So it's straightforward simple adding that into remakes.

Touche, did you ever play RSE?

In RS you have either Team Magma causing havoc by awakening Groudon or Team Aqua awakening Kyogre. In Emerald, both are doing their part, resulting in the epic battle that Rayquaza stops.

My point is that in a RS remake, the story would either be incomplete like RS, or the whole Emerald battle in both games.
Either way would suck, unless they also remade Emerald later, but that would be even worse.

I was saying RS remakes would sell less than a new game without much effort needed.

Let me rephrase what I'm hoping for
Hoenn is the oldest region now, but plain RSE remakes would suck.
So give us NEW games based in Hoenn or a region close to it. You know, like a sequel to RSE. The same region 13 years later, the same pokes (some others where fitting), but different story and lots of changes.
