Gaming Pokemon refusing to save

So this is an odd one. I have just tried loading up Pokemon Sword and Shield after not playing for a while and my save file has gone! I loaded last week just fine. Since then I have installed Pokemon Home and then, before loading it up today, I installed a new update.

I found out about a 'secret back up' save where you press start, B and X on the title screen, however I can't get to the title screen.

I tried to start a new game. Got to where I could saved, then restarted and the game started yet again on language selection and character creation...

Anyone else run into this?

I had 200+ hours on my save so errr... panicking a bit. Was just about to get the DLC too....

UPDATE: After reinstalling the software twice (Didn't work), I deleted the actual save data. This has allowed me to save and start a new game.

However, the secret back up thing obviously didn't work after this so bye bye 200+ hours of work and bye bye Pokemon (Including my perfect IV Japanese Ditto!!!!)
