I have been trying to find a cheat.dat for my r4 for pokemon platinum but cannot find it. Can some one please help. Also can I use two different cheat files at the same time?

Just go to the the official cheat compilation thread which can be found on the main page. I problem I had with my r4 was that it did not recognise some codes. The solution is to use R4CCE to remove any games you dont need. Hope that helps

Just download the Cheat database files from GBATemps downloads section and it's not called hacks it's called cheats.

Try R4cce by YASu software , there are two different versions , if you get the one sayin cheat code editor
MFC application
you have the wrong one , make sure its from YASU software
