Gaming Pokemon Platinum graphics quirk?

It's pretty minor, but I just noticed this while I was going around to past routes with all the HMs, and picking up the items that need Surf, Waterfall, etc.

But after choosing "Yes" to use Waterfall to go up, or in the split second prior to going down a Waterfall after surfing to the edge, a kind of black line a few pixels tall appears along the screen, about 1/8 of an inch from the top of the DS Lite's upper screen. I didn't notice it 'til now, probably because it isn't easy to spot if whatever is on your top screen is dark enough. It's really easy to see while ascending the waterfall that goes to the Victory Road entrance.

Just thought I'd see if anyone else had experienced this quirk?

Maybe it's because I don't pay attention to those kind of details.

Well, either you don't or just don't pay attention. It pretty much just flashes for like half a second so yeah, you'd probably need to watch for it.

I've noticed something similar when using HM's, mainly cut.

I experience this in alot of games, including Soma Bringer, Yugioh 5Ds, etc.
Its just a graphical error, nothing to worry about, atleast thats what i think.
