ROM Hack Pokemon ORAS/ Model editing Homebrew

Probably not going to happen; 3ds Rom Hacking is somewhat difficult, so its not going to be as easy as using sprites, etc.

He probably meant a tool to do it as easy as in GBA, not necessarily implying sprites or anything. You know, a tool where you could just import to the ROM, choose a character to replace the model with yours, save and try.

I'm not sure if this is the place to ask, but what do I do with mm and bch files? I'm trying to use the Kris mod, and I'm familiar with other kinds of modding, but I don't know how to follow the instructions:

OW models go in a/0/2/1
Battle models go in a/1/3/3

EDIT: Never mind, I got it. I unpacked the files in question with GARC, put my mod files in the resulting folder (I had to rename most of them), and then repacked with GARC again.

Here's what you need to do. Have an extracted romfs folder, and unpack the garcs 1/3/3 and 0/2/1. Once they are unpacked, you should be able to easily drag the Kris models+textures into the folders, and then rebuild the garcs, delete the folders and you are set to play as Kris instead of May. If you want to overwrite a different character, you can open the files inside the folders with Ohana3ds, and find the number of the character that you want to overwrite. Then you can just rename it, drag it in, and done.

May is 171, and Brendan is 172. They have two normal models, the other normals are around 315.

just find the wally models, rename them to overwrite Brendan/May, and then in-game you will be wally ingame..

Edit: Added .Bat files for easier use of CTRtool. Move the Cxi file to the Romfs and Exeds Folder. "Open Cxi.bat" then Open "Romfs.bat" and you will extract the Romfs for use with Garc tool
