Hacking Pokemon HG.SS

So, I used to have a CycloDS which NEVER ever ever had problems. Sold it like an idiot, and ended up with TTDS because it was cheap.

Anyway...I know little to nothing about this thing. I already have a store-bought copy of SS but (unsurprisingly) I can't catch ALL the legendaries without HG

So...what, exactly, step-by-step do I need to do to get HG running on my TTDS? Sorry to make this thread...but theres so much effing misinformation out there, I don't want to read 1000 pages of wrong info.

Edit: Well, from watching youtube videos I kinda found something. Its a "Patch.exe" and its kinda a hammer icon. IDK...I guess I'll give it a go.

Click on the extinfo,savlib and infolib link in my signature.
Take their files.
Place them in the ttmenufolder.
then patch the game.
