Gaming Pokemon Heart Gold Kanto Help

Hi everyone, I badly need help on Pokemon Heart Gold. I have it english patched, but I can't get accross the border to Kanto! I have all 8 badges, but the new girl character in the game keeps stopping me every time I try to get into the water in New Bark Town. Can anyone tell me what to do next? I don't care if there are spoilers involved because I used to play Pokemon Gold alot and I never care about spoilers anyway... All help appreciated!

Remember where the Kimono Girls used to be?(Eruteak City)
The girl is telling you to go there and fight the Kimono Girls.
After beating Kimono Girls go and catch Ho-Oh. Then you can go to Kanto.
