Hi I have an old 3ds with luma installed. I am trying to play gba hacks like theta emerald, light platinum etc but all I get is a white screen when starting them. They are installed via cia and I get to the gba startup screen then it goes white and sits

Anyone came across this or know how to fix it

In the Luma3DS settings, turn off the GBA Startup. This fixes that. I'm not sure why, but it does.

No didn't fix it still a white screen :(.

Strange I can get dark rising 1 and 2 and Pokemon gaia to work ok but theta emerald, light platinum and advanced adventures won't start :(

How long did you wait? With other ROM hacks for Pokemon games, they work once I disable the animated GBA startup and wait about 20-30 seconds.

  • NinStar @ NinStar:
in that case, there is no such thing as homebrew launcher for aroma
  • NinStar @ NinStar:
you have to launch your homebrews directly from the wii u menu
  • NinStar @ NinStar:
there is a plugin that display them on the wii u menu, pretty sure it is enabled by default
  • crafthp434 @ crafthp434:

  • NinStar @ NinStar:
I don't have a wii u anymore to test it myself, but if homebrews are not visible on the wii u menu I think you can press L + R + minus to open the plugin menu, there should be an option called "homebrews on wii u menu" or something similar
  • crafthp434 @ crafthp434:
    nope
  • crafthp434 @ crafthp434:
    it is L+dpad down+ select

  • NinStar @ NinStar:
then it is working, I also don't like that they did this but it is the only option you have if you are using aroma
