Hacking Pokemon Distribution

Hello! I was thinking about buying an R4 card, (probably the R4 3ds) and was wondering if I could distribute Pokemon events using it. These would only be distributed to 4th and 5th gen games, not 6th gen 3DS games (I have a powersaves for that). I wanted to know, if I had the rom for the event, put it on the micro SD, inserted it into the R4, and tried to run it, would it work properly? Would the R4 3DS work, or would I need to use a different card? If so, what card? Thank you!

Yes it will be possible but you will need to set the time on your 3ds to the correct run date for the event as it won't distribute other wise

Yes, I've done it myself using an R4i 3DS it works perfectly. Just remember to change the date to the time of the distribution
