My son has a ndsl and it has an r4ttids cartridge with a 16 gb sdhc card. I have the latest firmware for the r4tti and all the games work on the console except Pokemon Black and when you try to launch the game it says fat error, but all the other pokemon games work. I sure would appreciate some helpful input on how to get this game working. You know how kids are one day there playing something for weeks at a time and the next day their playing something new. He has not played his ndsl for a while and he asked me to get pokemon black and white for him. I did and pokemon white works fine but pokemon black has the error I mentioned above. Thanks for some helpful input.

I just got through reformatting the sd card a couple times with the panasonic sd card formatter but how do I disable the antipiracy on the r4tti? Thanks for your prompt response.

Sorry man I meant to put down the r4itt card and not the r4tti card. The files from the link you posted are no longer available and have been removed. Do you possilbly have another source for those files? Thanks for the help and sorry about putting the wrong card name down.

Update: well I finally found a pre-patched game and downloaded it and it works perfectly but thank you very much for the help.

One thing that just occurred to me.... The sound on the 2600 sucked less back then the harsh sound we hear now is from infinitely better speakers we have now, back when the 2600 was new speakers produced a almost muffled sound, like CRTs made old graphics look slightly better.

I wonder if I could recommend that to some emulation devs that perhaps the sound could use some smoothing out to simulate those old TVs
  • Psionic Roshambo @ Psionic Roshambo:
I think a few of the early systems could benefit from that, at least up to the 8 bit generation, by the 16 bit generation I think TVs had gotten a lot better in almost every way

It's old but it's the best firmware out for DS stuff
  • Xdqwerty @ Xdqwerty:
it says it only works for the original R4, R4i Gold (r4ids.cn), R4iDSN (r4idsn.com) and Acekard R.P.G.
  • Xdqwerty @ Xdqwerty:
    nvm it does support mine
  • Xdqwerty @ Xdqwerty:

Just give it a try, but honestly if you have a 3DS you can play DS games without a card just off the internal SD card
  • Psionic Roshambo @ Psionic Roshambo:
Slightly slower loading but a bit more convenient
