When you boot this game up, you'll notice an "update" pops up for your Wii. Supposedly it's for DS connectivity or WI-FI, or both, and some people are worried about updating their Wii with a foreign disc. So far, updating has no adverse effects on PAL or NTSC-US Wii's.

After some confusing menus, I found the battle mode and noticed beautiful shading and lighting. From playing Wii Sports and Madden '07, I was beginning to worry all Wii games would be ugly as sin, but PBR proves this little machine has some punch.

This screenshot doesn't do it justice, you'll have to see it on your TV to appreciate it.

The new pokemon seem to be funny, I saw a dog with a beret holding his tail like a paintbrush. Maybe that's an old one though, I don't know. The fire monkey rules too.

If someone would like to test out online play with me, you can find my friend code in my profile. PM me so I can add you. If we figure it out and it works, we'll make a thread showing others how to do it (and we'll be some of the first people to ever play online!)

Also, if someone has Diamond or Pearl, test out NDS connectivity and let us know how it goes.

According to IGN, there is a two player mode, and it even works with a single Wiimote! You share it before each turn. My problem is I can't find the two player mode, the japanese menus are too confusing

If anyone figures it out, please let us all know how.

I don't know anything about the technical crap, all I know is that it looks better than anything I've seen on Gamecube and Wii - and that screenshot is just a photo taken from a TV, it doesn't do it justice.

Hey, someone play with me! I want to try out Wii online.

Okay, compared with the rest on Wii or NGC this might be true but you can't get much better graphics out of a low graphics console, and the Wii is definitely not designed for being a graphics whore ( as it fails at it big time ).
