Okay, I'm home, and back to work.
Curley, that one still looks kinda sloppy...

Which one? I think they're good...
Anything I can help out with? I STILL havn;t got any closer to working out how a save works... (and my MicroSD is busted!)

For the mini game, the normal sprites could be used, but just with a black palette

So maybe I'll figure something out for it.

Ok... but are you wiling to do the silhouette of all 493/ish pokemons? and the pokemons which multiple forms?

It's kinda easy to do that in paint. Just go to Image->Attributes->Colors->Select Black & White
I think it will turn out somewhat good.

However, I did something really stupid.
I didn't use functions (for the ones that know what I'm talking about). Because I totaly forgot about them.
So, I'm kinda rewriting the code now..

And the region buttons already work btw, it was very simple. But it does nothing yet when you press the button.
{kanto description Bulbasaur}
{Press the johto button}
{Still kanto description Bulbasaur, because nothing changes}
{Go to next pokemon}
{johto description Ivysaur}
{Go to previous Pokemon}
{johto description Bulbasaur}

That's how it is now. I have to figure something out for that later.

Wow, did the function thing.
And my code is so much cleaner right now

Woops, I'm stuck again, since I used the functions, the variables in Main don't work no more.
So I guess I will have to find out how to make a global variable (wich is probably very easy

)

Yes, it was easy, I just had to move the variables out of any function.
Okay, so that works now.
Now I'm going to make the ivysaur regionbuttonable, and then the venusaur.
After that, I'll probably insert some more Pokémon (all the starters and their evolutions of kanto).
And then I will send a little demo to the team

That could be possible.
I think it wouldn't be very hard to make btw.

But, only the background would be changed.
So no buttons etc. Just backgrounds.

I like the idea, so in a later version, it will definatly be there.


Okay, the region buttons really work now.
Now I'm going to make some temporary sprites, so that you see what region is selected.

Oh, btw, I was thinking about the unowns.
And I'm a big fan of trying to catch them all

So there is going to be an unown dex too

Okay, I almost have a demo ready for the members of my team. (sorry, it will not be public)
What this demo will have in it:
-Splash screen
-Menu
-Pokédex
**Scrollable with the pad (no touch screen scroll yet!)
**First 9 pokémon avaible
---Sprite is shown
---Description is shown
---Type is shown
---Number+Name is shown
**Select wich region you want to have the desciption of

So, before I release it to my team, I'm going to make a slash screen, and a Menu.
When I'm done with that all, I will work on the website again.

Well i have a few tips for the maker, erm, instead of using sprites from the portable Pokemon games, why not images of the 3-d Pokemon like in coliseum? They look much better and it would look more professional.

Dude, I just started programming... So I'm sorry, but it will contain sprites form portable pokemans.

It's a conspiracy. My old host is eating my new host.
They sent cyborg ninja's, to keep the Pokédexds site from the internet. And they didn't really fail.
Because this host is being anoying too.

Maybe... "Hold A to Start" would be better than "Touch the Screen to Start" since you disabled the touch screen. It's just an idea really... You can use it if you want to though

If you could maybe draw some sketches of what you would like it to look like or make a list of things you want changed, It will be much easier for me to do!!

I am going out in about 10 minutes and wont be back until tomorrow night.. I have started the pokedex again but it might be better to get all the data in first before really worrying about the GUI.. Anyway, Like I said before the other one was only a rough draft and this one will be a lot better detailed and not as "sloppy" Anyway, Keep up the good work guys and I will hopefully get back earlier tomorrow so I can start working on the dex again..

Heres a quick image.. Been working on it for about 2 minutes, It will be virtually the same as the other one.. The white around pokedex will be blotched out, There will be DS after pokedex and there will be better buttons, more detail, and smooth edges on this one.. Just make a list of changes you want done to this one so I can do them whilst I am making this one..

Anyway see you tomorrow..

Shouldn't you make the images in the same resolution as a DS?
