    Hi.

I bought a 3ds earlier.. My flashcart and SDHC card came in the post today

I have a copy of Super Street Fighter from a release group

Firmware on acekard 2i has been promised as 3.0.x
Not sure what firmware on my 3DS is offhand. My acekard hasn't been bricked, so I assume all is fine here.

Using AKAIO 1.8.9. The first thing I've noticed is that in the menus, only NDS and SAV are listed, not 3DS.
I've changed the display to all, but it refuses to load the 3ds ROM.

I'm in work at 9:45 p,m because I don't haver internet access at home.

Can anyone point me in the right direction ? Have had a DS lite acekard for a while. 3DS is new to me ;)

    Have you read the stickies?

NOTHING PLAYS 3DS ROMS AND DS FLASHCARDS WILL NEVER EVER RUN THEM EITHER.

The ones I considered relevant, yup.

There is one that says 3ds games are unable to play at the moment, but surely that's outdated ?

    [EDIT]

Sorry dude. I only just caught the bottom of your post .. Not quite sure how I missed it ;)

Will read that thread a bit more. I automatically assumed the whole compatible with the 3ds thing had it covered ....

3DS games will remain unbootable on DS flashcards forever.
Their called DS flashcards for a reason!

When the 3DS is hacked everything will be updated and it will be front page news.

Thanks for the speedy response , guys.

If it's any consolation, I've just wasted EUR160 by not asking an obviously stupid question earlier.

If it's any consolation, the 3DS is by no means a waste of money now. About seven months ago, yes, today no.

    no DinohScene

For buying a 3ds when I've got a DS lite perfecly capable of playing DS backups.

I made the ignorant assumption that because all the new cards are compatible with 3ds, they'd also run 3ds games ...

The 3DS isn't exactly a money waster imho.

If all you want to do is to pirate then I personally hope the 3DS will never ever get hacked.

I agree suprgamr232. Close the thread. There's enough info here that anyone in a similar position will get the gist.

If anyone else want's to flame it'll be ignored cos I'm going home.

Thanks for the speedy reponses that were civil.

I think I'm starting to die a little inside whenever I see these threads "wen i can hav teh fre gams"
3DS games are starting to decrease in price, seriously. Some of the launch title games are now like $15 USD, Zelda decreased to like $28, etc
