Hacking please help!

ok ive tried everything! i still cant get wad manager or installer to work!!!! im running it through homebrew channel 9 and i dont know where to put it on the directory! so please tell me the name for the folder and where it should go, or just get the files in a .zip


please help!

you _are_ running it and don't know where to put it?

the wad manager DOL belongs into
/apps/myCoolWadManagerFolder/boot.dol

and the WAD files belong into the folder
/wad/

If you updated your Wii to the newest version you'll have to install some fixes. Check the Oct 23rd topic for help

01 November 08: The Chanel on "The Homebrew Channel" WAD Installer 2.1 and WAD UN-installer 1.1 no longer work on beta 9 of "The Homebrew Chanel". So if you like to install WADs dont update the channel!

-> You can always go back to beta8 of HBC

cool, thanks, ill try it now, but just encase where do i get ALL the needed files in DOL


EDIT: oh crap i just read what you edited!

so how do i downgrade homebrew (or must i run twilight hack again)

Look for a post of djtaz. He zipped all files and all of his boot files in /apps/ are DOLs. That should do the trick.

i dont see any files in his sig, that say dol or wad manager

and do you mean files for downgrade on homebrew channel or of system update? because im still on 3.3 (that is if 3.4 is the newest one)

ok i got it to work (thanks a bunch harryk) i just installed beta 8 hbc and got it working thanks everyone

The recent files in my sig have HB 9

HB 9 doesnt run .elf files , so if you have any of them on your SD card its best not to update.
Homebrew Browser is one of them files that uses an elf file so , but all the new files in my zip now have DOL's only.

By the way - the WiiGators BackupLauncher hold everything you need to put onto your SD card ... for future info.

The Oct23rd Update issue is in a seperate zip below it.
