the console crashes and gives me the 160-4711 error saving there has bin a problem with your usb blah blah blah
i need help cause i tryd switching ports checking and switching cabels even switching power outlets
and nothing helps
and really i dont wanna go back to loadiine .... eiiiil

Did you try all of your games? Usually, that's corruption of files. My BotW had that error, but everything else (on the drive) played fine. If it is every game, you might have to erase the data (within the Wii U Data Management tab) and install the affected game(s) or if it's just one demanding game, install it to the NAND instead of your HDD.

Hello,

Try to power your USB holder with a Y cable.

Watch if you do not have a corrupt game

Hello,

Try to power your USB holder with a Y cable.

Watch if you do not have a corrupt game

but the hdd has his own power supply
and for the first few days it worked perfectly
so thats whats weird it should be giving the error right away right not after hours of gameplay on multyple games
and the error also occurs when i go to settings and try to enter the hdd from there

Turn off everything, then unplug your USB device, then reconnect your USB media, do the same for your SD.

Then turn on your Wii U

The Wii U formats the USB media in its original format for this to work.

So if your support is in fat 32 or other format, it might not work properly.

If you see what I mean

ik its been over 5 years, but have you ever got back BoTW? If so, how? because my Botw got corrupted the same way last year and I don't know what to do. I really don't want to have to delete all my files

Hello,

where is your game installed (on Nand or on USB)??

When my BOTW files corrupted, I'm pretty sure I just ate the loss as I didn't want to try to restore potentially corrupted data to a fresh anything and have to reformat pt.2.

Five years later, maybe there's more info on restoring, but honestly, I started a new file on a capable HDD over MSD in USB. And then I started a new file on Switch.

Maybe this will lead you on a path?
