Hacking Please compile Preloader v0.3 source... someone?

If it has been already compiled then I probably missed it, but I doubt that.

Has anyone compiled the recently released Preloader 0.3 Source?

If not...... could someone please do it and uploaded it

Oh ya... is 0.3 compatible with v4.2 sytemmenu? if not could someone JODI patch 0.3?
 
There is no point to upgrade if JODI patched preloader.29 is working.

it's the easiest thing in the world to compile it. It's almost just as easy to change it to JODI for the HBC. (took me 20 minutes to find devkitPro, get it installed, change the source to load JODI for the HBC, and compile it)

The problem is that the released source code does not include the code used to install it! You know... the unimportant code that moves the system menu location and patches the system menu IOS with the ES_DIverify or whatever it's called.

I could give you a .dol that works great when you run it from the homebrew channel, but that's not really what you want...

can no one just reverse engineer the old 0.29 dol and extract the installer parts??? Just an Idea
 
Ah... that odd.. why would they release it if you can't install it?

Unless someone can implement the installer from a previoius version.....

or create a custom installer?
 
yeah, 0.30 would be a blast... Crediar... why does he release only half of his work? kinda useless...
 
maybe he didn't release the installer aswell to prevent that 1000s of preloader mods turn up.
Without the installer someone must be smart engough to code a working one before he can release a public working preloader mod.
 
Would this be possible? How about if you had the fully working versions of each IOS (ie no stubs) and you could have multiple versions of System Menu installed somehow, a modded preloader where you could choose which one to boot?

Using FSToolbox to upload files is slightly dangerous, because it doesnt rewrite file tables or something. There's an explanation on WiiBrew wiki page.
 
does the mediafire link include an installer? If so, where's the source? crediar released the source under one of those public licenses, which means whomever is taking credit for this MUST release the source as well.
