I ordered a new o3ds.. what firmware will it come with?

You have to have information beyond "It's a black o3ds xl" to get anything useful out of it. We don't know. It could be anything from 10.3 to whatever their absolute first firmware is.

Best Buy.. it's a standard xl

That's a terrible choice. Best Buy has a high enough turnaround rate and low enough stock that you'll probably get something fairly new.

Without a doubt 9.3+

not really sure if you can get the exact firmware of an Old 3DS by the serial number (there's tons of guides for New 3DS). but I also don't know if Nintendo has been producing this kind of edition for a while.

I got 9.9.0 from the triforce edition, that just came out on oct 30th. Long as its N3DS I think you will be at least able to do browserhax, into themehax out of the box.

You guys didnt read good his topic, it says new o3ds not n3ds. So to answer your question, it might come with firmware under 9.2.
