Hacking Homebrew playstation store games on CFW?`

So my friend bought randomly "beats" from playstation store for psp. And he can't get it work. He's running 3.80 m33 cfw. And it doesn't work.
Is it just the psp or the games form store doesn't work on custom firmwares?
I'm not going to buy the game and try with my psp, so i came here to ask.
Just in case if i have to buy random game from there some day.
