DP.pkg's (Delta Patch) contain only the latest changes to a previous update file.
e.g:
You already have a v1.0 update file installed and that is 700MB.
Then a Full v2.0 patch is released which is 900MB in size.
There would also be a delta patch available for v2.0 which is only 200MB in size. (This only contains the new v2.0 data)
whereas the FULL v2.0 update would contain everything that was in v1.0 plus the new v2.0 data.
I dont know if delta patches work on an exploited PS4 or not, I've never tried them as I have always downloaded the Full version of any new update.
