Hacking Playo 8X DVD-R

Hey everyone,
I have a bunch of Playo 8X DVD-R's and I just want to know if they are good for downloading iso's (whether the Wii will accept it). Thanks!

The best thing to do is try them. Just burn at a slow speed (2x) and you are usually alright with most media.

It's not really the make of DVDs that's important. It's the recording dye that they use...

not a good brand ...
they may boot with your wii but you better use tayo yuden or verbatim dvds.

I know dvd-r's are cheap, but I don't really want to buy more when I have about 80.

What could go wrong if I use a bad brand? Slowdowns, freezing possibly?

Freezing, Disc Read Errors, heck the Wii may not even recognize them. You can also risk wearing your laser quickly, as the Wii is a very, very picky console.

I'd strongly recommend Taiyo Yuden's, as I've had 100% success with them, no DRE's, no crashes, no problems
