    Hello,
I currently have a Wii sofmoded to play Wii games from an external hard drive through USB Loader.

    I'm thinking about buying a Wii U.

I'm wondering if I can softmod my Wii U and put homebrew on it so that I can install USB Loader and hook my external Hard Drive to it and play Wii games just like on my Wii.

    Thanks! Any help is appreciated!

You need to use Lego Batman or something like that to hack the WiiU's Wii mode, but after you do get it hacked, yes, you can use your same USB drive to play your Wii games, that's what I do.

One thing to keep in mind, your save games are saved on the Wii, not your USB drive, so you'll either have to do a system transfer or manually copy the saves using an SD card (unless you want to start your games over).
