Is there anything special I need to do to play Japanese backups? I've tried two different games and so far neither of them have worked. I have an NTSC wii and I do have a backup loader that forces NTSC. I even loaded up the menu and played with the options but have had no luck making it run.

First of all, what games are you trying to run?

The best advice I can give is to set the language to Japanese
in the options menu of the backup loader.

There is no point in forcing NTSC on a NTSC game,
whether it be NTSC-U or NTSC-J.

Hope this helps!

I've tried both Taiko Drum Master (I forget the Japanese name of it.. Taiko No Taijutsin or something) and Let's Tap. I used a new type of DVDR so that may be the problem. I forget the brand, and I'm at work at the moment but I'm using +R's instead of the -R's that I normally use. Could that be the problem?

I'm pretty sure Taiko no Tatsujin wouldn't work with WiiGator's loader in the first place, due to no drums being attached to the Wii or something. :/

Wait, before asking any more questions, what happens when you try to load them? Does the Wii wriststrap warning come up? Does the game give you an Error002? Does it just hang on a black [or green] screen?
