Alright, I'm a special kind of frustrated right now. I have been trying to use pk3ds to randomize Pokemon X. I dumped my own cartridge with GodMode9, I decrypted it, I extracted all of the files with HackingToolkit3ds, named the ExtractedExeFS and ExtractedRomFS folders exe and romfs as all tutorials stated I needed to do. I downloaded the newest version of pk3ds. Seems to be the 5-31-16 version according to the about in help. I choose randomize all in the wild pokemon option and I have both clicked save current encounters and have tried without doing so. If I close the application and re-open it, the encounters are still just as randomized in there, but when I rebuild the .3ds and convert it into a .cia (Using 3dsbuilder and 3ds_simple_cia) and install it, the game starts up just fine, I get to the point where I can get encounters, and nothing is changed. The same happens with the static encounters (I know because of that pidgey at the beginning even though it says it's randomized) and starters. I checked Dllpoke3select from both my original (backup) extracted files and the newly made one in a hex editor, and they are different. It has DEFINITELY been modified. Same with the GARC for wilds. The thing that I find particularly weird is that trainers are successfully randomized with no problem. Text changes worked when I tried just for the heck of it, modifying items works... it's just the wilds, starters, and statics. I'm so confused!!!
