Hardware Pikachu 3DS XL

This question is for people in the UK and elsewhere where this special edition XL has been released...They say 'limited supply' or 'while supplies last'. Are/were they hard to find? Or was it something where they sold fast at first and then there was stock sitting on shelves within a few days? My son wants one and I'm trying to decide whether I should be there at open or not.

Checked with Walmart today, the woman looked in her hand-held scanner and said they're only getting three on Sunday, and the guy at EB Games was willing to take a pre-order today. Will probably be enough to go around.

Possibly. Only one way to find out...
If you must have one, I'd just hit a big-box at opening time Sunday AM. I hear Target is going to have this for $159 for Pikachu XL and the regular 3DS is $129. Since this is limited edition or w/e, maybe those unscrupulous ebay scalpers will scoop 'em up..

Ah I would guess they would have it for a couple weeks afterward by the way the Legend of Zelda 3DS was still around after it was released

I plan on buying 3 though since they are on sale at Toysrus and Target but I'm not going to hit up 1 store and buy all of them lol 160$ at Target and 170$ + 20$ Gift Card at Toysrus

Well, I want one really bad, maybe it's nostalgia or w/e, it looks good and will be kinda uncommon, but I'm 35 and already have an XL..makes me feel greedy kinda

Well my friend wants to buy my 3DS so I'm selling mine to him and buying the XL and I'm buying one for my friend for her birthday this summer then I'm going to hold onto one when X and Y come out to sell for 250$ hopefully

Sounds like a good plan, at least you'll get some of the original cost back...My wife has started loving the 3DS XL and hogs it now so maybe I can talk her into 'letting' me buy this and she can have the old one.

It's in their flyer so they'll have some. You really think there'll be lineups for this? 5 hours seems kinda overkill, if there are people actually lining up for this more than an hour early I'd be surprised..but then, you never can underestimate the power of nostalgia and pokemon, can you...especially in a world where people kill each other in the line to buy $300 jordans

I say 5 hours now, but I know that I'll wake up an hour or two before it opens xD. I've heard that some Target's won't receive that many units, 2 or 3 at the most. Then again, I heard that one Target will have 25 when they open. It also doesnt help that I live in a rather secluded area... So it's better safe than sorry.

It depends on your area my Target is one of the few in the area but I live in a well populated city (Philadelphia) so chances are they will have 5-10 at least

i've checked all the stores in my area, none have gotten more than 2.
i'm going to try and get one priced matched at walmart as soon as the sunday paper comes like 5am, if i cant get one there i'll go to target at 8am when it opens, and if i can't get one there i'll head to toys r us to do the same thing at 10am.

Just called both stores I planned to buy from and neither knows how many they will have that day so that is rather grim to hear.

I just checked my local Target and they said there was a lot of people who were asking about the 3DS, and they will only get around 5 at the most.

I think I should just head there really early and hope no one else will -_-
