Done many of these picofly installs and today I had my first issue after completing the install

Everything went as normal but when I powered on I noticed the lcd has lines and distortion, also flickers every few seconds...

Not had this issues before, never went anywhere near the lcd or the ribbon/connector

It's really hard to capture well on camera so I've done my best

Any suggestions would be incredibly helpful

Thanks all

Reseated lcd ribbon to be sure, appears screen has completely gone now....back-light comes on but that's about it

Very strange

Not sure if the connector is the same on the switch lite but I've had this issue on one V1 switch.

If the ribbon doesn't go into the zif connector perfectly flat it seems it can bend pins as it goes in. Try looking inside it with a microscope.

The good news is that connectors are readily available on eBay and can be removed easily with hot air. Just make sure to protect any surrounding plastic components.

I replaced one with no issue and it worked immediately.

You mean this ribbon?

I did find damage on that ribbon but replaced it with the same results

I never touched that connector at all and it looks absolutely fine, can't see any damage even under my scope

I have reseated it twice but nothing

Should I replace the lcd ribbon connector?

Not sure what else to do, it looks ok

Hello, what will happen if one of those 5 lcd data lines has a solder bridge on the switch lite? Would there be an lcd issue too? Can someone say me please what will happen then exactly?
