I saw this and thought it was weird that someone would post on gbatemp a computer issue, but not only did a member reply to a "noob's" question (not that it isn't one we've all had at 1 point or another) but a staff member of this site responded. I've always had a lot of respect for the site and think it's easily one of the best out there, but now its like.. triplicated!!

I really just had to say so, sorry for taking up a post

You'll find on many sites that's aren't directly-affiliated with a large company, staff post more often than normal because they're normal people too. I just happen to be really active.

It states the error happened in a system component (so there's no obvious driver at fault), and with it being a different error each time that makes me think of possibly bad RAM or something like that. Wait to see if anybody else knows anything about this specific event, then if not run a memtest86 CD.

OK.
I'm just downloading memtest86+.

and about the ram its just 6 months old.

Unfortunately, age has little to do with quality of computer components. Whether something is faulty or not faulty tends to be a constant, you should run the mem-test anyhow.

Power surges, power cycles, data thrashing, data loading, data mismanagement, voltage droops, heat, static, dirt, dust... there are many things that can attribute to components wearing down and giving problems. Quality of components typically makes them more resistant to these factors, but even if you had a thousand dollar stick of super-RAM, it will still probably encounter problems at some point down the line.

I rather enjoy a life of taking it easy. I haven't reached that life yet though.
