So I sold my Gateway and old 3DS to go legit and play Phoenix Wright and this is the thanks that I get! ;)

Anyone know what the issue is? It makes the game unplayable. Nintendo support have told me they'll get back to me within 21 days (lol).

I have a feeling it may be my 3DS, maybe the 2D processing part of the chipset is shot; when talking to Ravio in A Link Between Worlds a yellow triangle pops up across the purple dialogue box.

I tried two cards (16GB high capacity both) and it didn't help. Anyone know of a fix for this or is the unit going to have to be RMA'd?

Thanks in Advance.

Since you had a Gateway and a 3DS capable of using it, why did you sell your old 3ds rather than updating it and going legit? (if you were to keep the NAND dump of 4.5, you could always revert back via hardware so that the console would not be stuck never being able to use Gateway again)
- the 3DS problem would have never occured had you did this as that console functioned properly

as for the 3DS problem, it is probably a faulty 3DS and will need to be RMA'd.

Not relevant, and you don't know that this error would not have occurred on the old console. It may well have.

Gee thanks.

Anyone actually familiar with the hardware of the 3DS that might now what this error is?

Random graphical distortions? Yeah, that really looks like a hardware related issue. Chances are it's unfixable for anyone but Nintendo.

It's weird that it only really happens with Phoenix though... even the demo. Bravely Default is fine, all 3D is fine, just the 2D elements of Phoenix Wright. Weird.
