Hacking PES Pro Evolution Football 2008 (PAL) problem

I'm trying to get a PAL backup of Pro Evolution Football 2008 to work on my NTSC-U Wii. I've tried patched and unpatched, and neither work. I get a "disc ID failed" message. However, when I look at the compatibility list, it says that this game IS compatible. Am I doing something wrong? All my other backups work fine.

Also, I'm on firmware 3.3, using Wiigator's loader 0.3. As I said in my previous post, everything else works fine. It's just this one backup that's giving me grief.

Pro Evo NTSC-U gives me lots of problems on my PAL wii... (I have a mod chip)

I need to use freeloader or Gecko OS to get any love.

Surely there's an NTSC version out there!

Actually I got it to work ( because I wanted the commentary in Italian, but after I got it I deeply regretted it !).
I still have the disc, so I can confirm it works, although the screen somehow doesn't look as sharp as it should ( maybe it doesn't run at 480p).
I don't really remember what I did to it, I think I used Wifii or Wigionfree with it and patched it to NTSC-U.
I think that's all, non brickblock applied.
