Not sure if right place to post this, but basically I attempted a hard mod of my 3ds but got cold feet and removed the solder - now it won't boot, I get a blue screen with BOOTROM 8046. It looks like the problem may lie with the bottom connector- did I burn it out? Any help would be appreciated.

The whole area looks pretty scorched, and it looks as though you've actually melted a resistor. If that is the case, then this is most likely beyond repair.

Wait hang on I'll upload a better image, I'll attempt to get a perfectly lighted picture.

Hmm. If this is the case is there any way it can be repaired? Couldn't I just replace the resistor?
It's a surface mount component. Replacing it would require specialist equipment. Your best bet for repair would be gamesquest1 on this site, but I'm not sure even he would be able to do it.

I think what I'm going to do is attempt to fix it somehow, then if it doesn't work I'll replace for entire board.
