My fat Vita (stock firmware 1.06 iirc) is running well still, but is there any good homebrew out there for performance? Maybe something that allows the battery to drain slower? I've been on the CFW scene for the 3DS for quite some time, but this is the first time I've ever looked deep into homebrew besides going "Oh this looks cool", so unsure what can really be done.

Overclock plugin like PsvShell would be your answer, instead of using it to push 444hz - 500hz, just limit the CPU to reduce electric consume. No other homebrew can save battery like that.

Ah, ok. That is definitely not what I use, which may be VitaShell (can't tell currently, not at system).

And I know this isn't the same topic, but while I do love my old Vita, how is the PSTV? I have a huge backlog of PSX games, and backing them up and playing on the TV definitely sounds like something I'd like to do. But, I don't know if I can justify the $220 (cheapest I could find) pricetag. Overclocking on it would definitely be nice, though.
