PCSX2, the best PS2 emulator to date, has finally seen it's 1.0 release! After years of developing the emulator, the PCSX2 team feel as though they've reached a high point in terms of compatibility and improvements and plan on continuing work on the emulator to bring about even more playable games.

That's awesome stuff, congrats on their first stable build.

Only 73% of games tested playable though, they need to keep going of course.
Sounds like there have been numerous changes to allow for even better performance though, I wonder how well Dragon Quest VIII would run now?

And here I installed the latest build just yesterday...
Oh well, going to spend all day testing games that had problems on the older versions again.

Thanks for the update, without this I wouldn't have noticed for about 4 months or so.

I wonder if we might see it now ported to handlehand consoles, maybe, in a few months....
think of a PS2 emulator on the Vita...
I didn't see that happening...

What is this sorcery? My game pretty much went from non-playable to nearly perfect.
It would probably be perfect if I had a real graphics card. I can't really blame the emulator.
Awesome! :yay:

The last version of PCSX2 I used was 0.94, and even then it was stable and solid. It ran my Digimon World 4 DVD surprisingly well even with 4 players connected.

I wish this emulator well

Wow, it includes a site revamp too?

I beat KH1 and KH2 on 0.9.8 and it worked pretty well then.

Yeah but KH RE:CoM suffered from slowdowns and crashed once in a while.
I'm playing it right now and haven't had any problems yet.
Seems like a big improvement to me.

Incredible emulator, even 3 years ago already it ran everything at it perfectly. This must be the best emulator out there IMHO, for an epic console. Really recommend it to anyone. Wow.

Would be cool if it also played Ps1 games :P
yeh ...maybe unnecessary, but cool nonetheless ( I need to find a good ps1 emu though ..I don't test one for years)
