Homebrew PC-98 emulator on 3DS?

I'm not the kind of guy who asks this kind of questions, but could a 3DS emulate this kind of architeture? Are there already working emulators around?

I just want to play Touhou on 3DS

I think the new 3ds could possibly handle it. Seeing as it has better hardware than the old 3ds systems.

There are not currently any pc-98 emulators for the 3ds. (This is the first thing that shows up when you google pc98 3ds.) We have dos emulators for both the ds, and new3ds, as well as pc-98 emulators for the psp(albeit crappy ones last time I checked.) It certainly seems like it could be done, but the biggest hurdle is to find someone who has the interest/time to port something like neko project II to the 3ds.
